The door of opportunity will at one time or another knock on each of our doors. But many times there are distractions that seek to stop us from seeing them. If we are not careful these things will keep us from fulfilling the goals and desires that we should be pushing towards. Truthfully all of us have had things come in our life to distract us. But it is important that we don’t allow the detours to stop us from getting back on the road to destiny. A detour according to the dictionary is a deviation from a direct course and many times we think that detours are dead ends. It just means you may have to find another way to get back on course. There are two major detours that I would like to share with you that you need to be aware of that if conquered will make you unstoppable.
Fear is one of the most debilitating emotions that can fill a person. Many times the reason we do not walk into our destiny is because of fear. I know a lot of us have heard the acronym for FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real). The fears we have are sometimes greater to us then the reality of success that is before us. One thing you will learn as I have learned that you only conquer fear when you face it and move past it. As Susan Jeffers says you have to “feel the fear and do it anyway”. One of the most liberating feelings to have is to face your fear, conquer it and realize that it wasn’t as bad as you thought it was. So now is the time to face your fear and conquer it.
A lot of us suffer from what I call self-doubt. We think that we don’t have the abilities or talents to do what is in our hearts to do. I believe anything we desire to achieve we can do. All we need to do is genuinely believe that the talents we have are the tools we need to help us accomplish the goals set before us. When you doubt yourself you limit the possibilities for growth and development. And life is all about growing and evolving. Yes you may encounter bumps on the road but also you can gain the satisfaction from seeing your destiny fulfilled. Stop doubting yourself and believe that you have something to offer the world.
